Sector levels are SAR bn; the DGI level is index points (2023 average = 100). Share of DGI value divides the sector's trailing 12-month value by the DGI's trailing 365-day value after the cap; the eight published sectors do not sum to the whole, as smaller groups are not published.
Notes
What this index does and does not measureFull methodology →Sector mapping
Awards are assigned to the Tadawul industry group that the Etimad activity code of the award most closely supplies, so the index can be read against the listed sector. The mapping is a draft (version 0.1); groups may be re-drawn, and a published level may be restated when they are.
Single-award cap
No single award counts for more than 10% of the sector's prior twelve months' value. A sector with few large awards is more affected by the cap than the DGI as a whole; the capped amount per sector is not yet published.
Reading the level
The level is the sector's award value over the trailing 12 months, SAR bn, VAT included. A fall means the government awarded less in this sector over the past year than over the year before it; it says nothing about contracts in execution.
